Running a Signal Scan

The deep analysis layer. What it looks at, what it returns, and how often you can run one.

A Signal Scan is the deep analysis layer of Signal Lab. It looks at your content, your audience signals, and the reference artists you study, and writes you a strategy briefing you would otherwise pay a consultant for.

How to run one

  1. From the dashboard, click Run Signal Scan.
  2. Pick the reference artists. Their handles, RA links, or Spotify links work.
  3. Hit go. Scans take a couple of minutes. The system samples content, analyses audience overlap, benchmarks against the references.
  4. The result is a written report covering content strategy, growth levers, peer benchmarking, and recommended next moves.

Limits by tier

  • Creator, one Signal Scan total. Once. The hook to show you what is possible.
  • Artist, one per month, up to four reference artists.
  • Pro, one per month, up to ten reference artists.
  • Road, see your billing portal for current capacity.

These limits exist because each scan is real intensive analysis. Saving them for the moments that matter is part of the value.

When it earns its keep

  • Before a release campaign, calibrate the rollout against peers who shipped similar music recently.
  • Quarterly check in. What is working, what to drop, where the audience is growing.
  • After a tour, look at what changed in your audience signal and feed it back into content planning.

Not for: weekly content decisions. The Broadcast chain handles those at zero cost per scan.

Where past scans live

Every scan is saved. Open Dashboard, then Past scans to revisit a previous report or compare against the latest one.
