Scanning and scheduling a post

How to take a clip from your camera roll to a scheduled post, using the Broadcast chain.

The Broadcast chain is how you go from a clip to a scheduled post. Four steps: Drop, Scan, Voice, Approve.

The chain

  1. Drop. Drag in your hero image or video. For carousels, drop up to 19 extras. Mixed image and video carousels are fine.
  2. Scan. The system scores the content on five axes: reach, authenticity, culture, visual identity, and shareable core. It also pulls out the best moment, suggests a caption angle, and recommends a post format.
  3. Voice. Caption variants get drafted in your tone, weighted by your reference artists. Em-dashes, hashtags inside the caption, and voice tells get flagged as you edit.
  4. Approve. Full preview shows the caption, media, tags, first comment, and hashtags. Hit approve to schedule or post now.

Rules the editor enforces

  • No @mentions inside the caption. Use the Tag accounts field.
  • No #hashtags inside the caption. Use the Hashtags field.
  • Em-dashes are flagged on sight. Replace with commas or full stops.

These rules exist because Instagram's API treats tags and hashtags differently when they live in the right fields, and because em-dashes in captions read as not-written-by-a-human.

Schedule or post now

The Approve step has a toggle. Now posts immediately. Schedule lets you pick a future time, minimum 5 minutes out.

Where scheduled posts live

/broadcast/calendar shows the week grid. Filter by status: draft, scheduled, approved, posted, failed. Click any post to edit before it goes out.

Mobile

The mobile POST tab has a slimmer composer for posting from the floor. Same chain, smaller screen, faster path.
